Roblox is rolling out Kids and Select account types in early June, building separate environments for different age groups with built-in safety controls.

Users aged five to nine will be assigned to a "Roblox Kids" account, and users aged nine to 15 to will be put in a "Roblox Select" account.

Roblox will assign the accounts based on age-check technology or on the prompting of verified parents who set up kids’ accounts, and provide age-appropriate experiences for users in specific ranges. Parents will also be able to correct the age of a child if needed.
